How to find The Lookout Tower
The Lookout Tower stands proudly on top of Beer Head in East Devon, giving unrivalled views of the stunning coast to the south across Lyme Bay and beautiful green farmland to the north. With views stretching from Portland Bill to Start Point, it’s not to be missed. The small coastal working fishing villages of Branscombe & Beer are also just a short walk away.

How to find
The Lookout Tower
Upon arriving at Common Lane, follow the lane up past Beer Head Caravan Park, on your left. You will come to a V in the road, stay left, and you’ll see a sign ‘The Lookout Tower 750m’. Go across the cattle grid and head into the first field across the gravel track. At the end of the first field, you will come across a second cattle grid. Go across this cattle grid and head into the second field. Stay on the gravel track, bear right and as you drive up the track you’ll see The Lookout Tower.
When you arrive at the gate, just swing the gate open and park. Please close the gate as you come through. You are holidaying in a remote rural location on a working farm, there will be sheep and cows roaming around, the track out to the cliff is rough.

The property sits at the top of Beer Head and is accessed via a private farm track with gravel sections and cattle grids. Guests can drive directly to the front door.

The Lookout Tower is positioned on the South West Coast Path, with walks to Hooken Beach, Branscombe, Beer and other Jurassic Coast highlights.

The village of Beer is a 5 minute short drive or around a 15 minute walk away, with cafés, pubs, shops and a sheltered beach.
You can walk to Branscombe Beach in around 15 minutes along the coastal path, or drive to Branscombe village in about 15 minutes. The village is home to the Masons Arms, The Old Forge, and the National Trust’s Manor Mill, making it a great spot for food, crafts and exploring. -
Beer, Branscombe and Seaton offer a range of pubs, cafés, fish and chips, farm shops and independent stores. There is a Tesco Superstore in Seaton.
